From July 2006, the Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE was given the responsibility for the delivery of vocational education and training across the south side of Brisbane. It operates out of ten campuses, and four of the main ones are at Alexandra Hills, Loganlea, Mt Gravatt and Yeronga. The various subjects offered by the institute include administration, adult literacy, aged care, arts and performance, beauty, business, childrens services, community, English, environmental studies, fashion, general education, hairdressing, health, horticulture, hospitality, information, justice, management, multimedia, retail, senior studies, technology, tourism and transport and distribution.
